Why I built this
After nearly a decade of traveling — 60+ countries, living out of a backpack — I got to see what community looks like in cities all over the world. Run clubs in Berlin, language exchanges in Buenos Aires, climbing groups in Taipei. People finding their people everywhere I went.
When I moved to Vancouver, I heard the stereotype: it's a lonely city, hard to break into. I found that reputation to be mostly earned. But I also found that hundreds of communities were already here — run clubs, craft nights, board game groups, climbing crews — quietly doing their thing, just hard to find.
So I started searching them out for myself. Then I started keeping a list. Then I figured: why not make this available to everyone? That list became this directory — 249+ groups, all free to browse.
How this works
Anyone can submit a group. I review submissions and add new ones weekly. The whole thing is community-built — most of the best entries came from people who wanted to share something they love.
